Virtual Weddings are Here to Stay

As the Autumn rolls on, it seems that COVID-19 continues to be part of our lives, in large ways and small.  This post serves as a simple reminder that New York State still offers the opportunity for couples to marry virtually through their “Project Cupid.”  Yesterday, I was able to host such a wedding for these two beauties in Brooklyn.  They, along with a dozen or so friends, celebrated love, sweet love.

Here’s how it works.  Although some upstate and Long Island city clerk’s offices are open, the New York City Clerk’s Offices remain closed.  Couples make application for their marriage license through “Project Cupid.”  The most difficult aspect of the process is getting a virtual appointment with the Clerk’s office to verify one’s ID, etc.  If you can’t find an open appointment—keep coming back….they open up little, by little.   Once the virtual appointment is completed, a license will be issued.

Call me! We can help you put that license to good use—offering full service technology support, ceremony delivery, and filing of the paperwork—all at a budget friendly price.   Despite the physical distances with these ceremonies, I find they are remarkably meaningful.  You can be the judge!
